Work with policy makers
We want to make integrated health a reality by raising issues at the highest levels of policy and decision-making.
We primarily work with the governments and devolved administrations in Westminster, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our work is also aimed at people who influence policy makers, such as the media, the general public and other stakeholders.

We are currently working with local agencies in Cornwall and Burnley on proposals to develop pilots for integrated health centres in secondary schools. We are also advising the Department of Health in Northern Ireland on a ground-breaking pilot to make certain complementary therapies available to patients with particular conditions on the NHS. We have taken part in discussions with the Food Standards Agency on the role of certain food additives and their link to children's behaviour.
Our advice can take many forms from written reports, briefings and submissions through to seminars and public or private meetings. We also create partnerships with other health and health-related organisations where we feel a joint approach is more likely to be effective. Chronic conditions such as allergies, back pain or depression may be very diverse, but we recognise that there's a thread of linking factors. By drawing many organisations together, we get a clearer picture of the pervasive causes of ill health in our society.
