Student essay prize
Enter our student essay competition
We are delighted to announce FIH's first student essay prize. We invite members of the FIH student network to enter to win a prize and wider exposure for your ideas.
Your essay should answer the question 'Describe an integrated approach to one area of patient care, and explain how it might still be affecting the health and wellbeing of the patients it serves in ten years time.'
Word count: 2 - 3,000 words. Don't feel obliged to string your essay out up to the word limit - a concise piece with a strong argument is just as likely to win as a long essay. Do remember to provide academic references at the end; these are not included in the word count.
The prize
There's a prize of £500 for the winning essay. The competition will be judged by a student, a complementary healthcare professional and a GP. The winner will also be invited to read their essay at our next conference, likely to be in September 2010. Some students who make the shortlist may also be invited to read their pieces.
Timeline
You have until May 1st 2010 to send us your essay. Any received after that date, for whatever reason, can't be considered.
