GPs can now register for free with the Foundation. This is a first step towards offering a more supportive service for your integrated health interests or practice.
We would like to develop a much closer relationship with all healthcare professionals, to better engage and support those actively involved in integrated healthcare. This is not just integration in the sense of the ‘best of both worlds’ (ie conventional and complementary) but also in the sense of providing personal and holistic care with an added emphasis on health and lifestyle.
We intend to work with both statutorily regulated healthcare professionals and those who have mechanisms in place for statutory regulation, as well as complementary healthcare professionals who have registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. To aid this process, we have appointed a small group of advisors in:
This is not just integration in the sense of conventional and complementary, but also in the sense of providing personal and holistic care.
- General Practice
- Nursing
- Pharmacy
- Physiotherapy
- Complementary healthcare
– the aim being to develop leadership, integrated work and a wider membership in all these clinical areas.
In order to do this most effectively, have started with General Practitioners. Accordingly, we are inviting GPs who are interested in, if not yet committed to, integrated approaches to health and wellbeing to register with the Foundation, so we can develop a more supportive service for them.
Registration is free, all you have to do is simply express an interest here.
It does not commit you to anything – apart from receiving further communications from us and having your name on a register that will be confidential to the Foundation. Once we have drawn up the register, we will be coming back to you all to discuss our future plans, structure and organisation.
