2010 Awards
In 2010, the following awards are open for application:
- Lifecycle Awards
- Country Awards
- Survivor Award
- Student Essay Prize
- Practice Based Commissioning Award
- Primary Care Trust Award
What are we looking for?
We are looking to celebrate innovative approaches to health and wellbeing. Entries need to demonstrate the following ethos:
- We consider health in the widest sense, taking into account factors like lifestyle, environment and emotions.
- We offer services in a supportive and nurturing environment.
- We provide a service that addresses unmet needs and/or health equalities.
- We involve service users in the ongoing development of our service.
- We don’t believe in 'one size fits all'.
- We help people take ownership of their own care.
- We have built positive relationships with other parts of our community.
- We undertake audit and evaluation; and have a robust governance structure.
- We strive to reduce inequalities and make our service accessible.
- Our service is innovative.
How to apply
Download and complete the application form and return it by 6.00 pm on 1 May 2010, to awards@fih.org.uk. Electronic applications are preferred - if you need to post a hard copy, please call on 020 7766 0002.
What do winners get?
- Two places at an Integrated Health Masterclass in Devon in September 2010
- Two places at the Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health Annual Conference on 8 July 2010 (London)
- A short film will be made on each winner project by Integrated Health TV
- Take part in the Lord Mayor’s Show (13 November 2010, London) as part of the 'Integrated Health' procession
- Substantial cash prize for each of the four Country Prize winners (all entries apart from student essay and survivor award will be entered automatically)
- Cash prize of £500 for Student Essay winner
Who can apply?
Lifecycle Awards (5)
We look for best practice in integrated health services at five key lifecycle stages:
- Conception, Pre-Natal, Birth & Early Years
- School Age & Teenage
- Working Life
- Older People
- Palliative Care
Your entry will automatically be considered for the Country Prizes. Be sure to indicate on the application form when you operate.
Country Awards (4)
Winners will be shortlisted from the Lifecycle applicants, for organisation or practice based, operate and provide services in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Survivors Award (1)
Open to all finalists of previous Integrated Health Awards. The Survivor Award aims to celebrate their success and longevity. In addition to being considered by judges, entries will also be featured on our website and open to public voting. Admission to the survivor awards is by invitation only - if you are a previous winner you should hear from us shortly - or feel free to contact us. Please do not fill in the general application form -full details here.
Primary Care Trust Award (1)
Open to all UK PCTs. read the full details here.
Practice-based Commissioning Award (1)
Open to all UK GP practices, nurses, clinicians and primary care professionals involved in PBC. read the full details here.
Student Essay Prize
