The Government is to explore how GPs can help transform Britain's 'sick-note culture' into a 'well-note culture'.
Health Secretary Alan Johnson will set out plans to help cut the number of people on incapacity benefit. He will use a speech to the British Heart Foundation on Wednesday to stress the need to focus on what people can do, not what they cannot do.
The Government is reportedly considering getting GPs to write well notes for employers which set out the kind of tasks a worker can perform.
