New TV ads make healthier choices easy

The Food Standards Agency has launched new TV advertisements as part of its ongoing activity to encourage shoppers to look for and use traffic light labels.

The TV ads, voiced by comedian Dawn French, will air for three weeks during GMTV breaks to remind shoppers that they can find red, amber and green traffic light labels on many food products and that these really can make healthier eating easier.

Buses up and down the country will also be displaying traffic light ads throughout January and there will be feature articles in a selection of TV magazines.
