Dear Colleague,
This month we launch our student network - drawing together university students of complementary medicine with students at medical school.  It's an opportunity for both kinds of students to pool knowledge of topics from handling stress, to the evidence base, patient psychology and how to create good practice.
We talk to senior staff at Swansea university about why they are integrating 'cam fam' - complementary therapy familiarisation - into their medical school curriculum.  Meanwhile student doctor Leah Desmond blogs in praise of the GPs' breadth of knowledge.

'More and more about less and less'
Dr Heena Patel and her medical student Leah Desmond both write for us this month about the big picture for GPs.  Leah Desmond argues for valuing breadth of knowledge as well as depth, Heena Patel says that the first step towards integration is the NHS talking to itself properly.
