Evidence bases for five complementary therapies
Dr Hugh MacPherson is a Research Fellow at the University of York as well as being trained in acupuncture.
Here he talks at our annual conference giving a whistlestop tour of the state of evidence for five major complementary therapies - homeopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic, osteopathy and herbal medicine. He explains why he believe's the Lancet's famous announcement of the death of homepathy is premature and that many 'orthodox' treatments used on the NHS also lack a comprehensive evidence base.
