The Sara Lee Trust

Most clients at the Sara Lee Trust have a cancer diagnosis, although they do also see people with HIV/AIDS and motor neurone disease.  The Trust provides complementary treatments and psychological support. Access to the service is via healthcare professional referral.  The organisation particularly emphasises contact with nature - their spa days take place in a beautiful house at Penshurst surrounded by acres of countryside.

What kind of organisations can do this work?

Run by a charity, this is an excellent example of palliative support in cancer care.  The Trust welcomes referrals from GPs in the area.
