Kim Lavely, Chief Executive

Kim Lavely was appointed in September 2005. Prior to joining FIH, Kim’s career was largely in the field of consumer affairs. From 1988 until 2004, she was with Which?, for the last four years as Deputy Chief Executive. After leaving Which? she served as interim Director General of Consumers International, a London-based global NGO until her appointment at FIH.

Ian Brownhill joined FIH in 2006 and has overall responsibility for our programmes of delivery, regulation, research, education and training. Before joining FIH Ian held a number of senior management roles with organisations including London Transport and Which?

George Gray, Finance Director

George Gray is a chartered accountant and has worked as Finance Director for a number of commercial and not-for-profit organisations including Diabetes UK, Molton Brown and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. He joined FIH in 2006 and is also Company Secretary of the Foundation with overall responsibility for HR and IT.

Ian Cambray-Smith, Health Professionals Manager

Ian Cambray-Smith acts as the focus for FIH's involvement with healthcare professionals. He works collaboratively to develop a range of work programmes, policies and initiatives to support healthcare professionals and help them to deliver a truly integrated approach to health. Ian's background is in plastics research, project management and business development; he has an MSc in polymer technology. He joined the Foundation in 2006.

Kate Smith, Online Communications Manager

Kate Smith joined in 2007 to create this new website for FIH and to lead on online communications. She has previously worked as manager and editor of the Museum of London's history website, untoldLondon and as Arts group web manager at the British Council. Rachel Baker, Events Manager

Rachel Baker joined the Foundation in early 2008 as Events Manager. She previously project managed events for senior managers across the whole of the healthcare sector while working for the NHS confederation.
